Description

Corporate Governance and Risk Management is a two-day course that reinforces awareness and understanding of the rationale and requirements of good corporate governance and at the same time initiating the use of tools to assess corporate governance practice. It advocates companies to strive for global competitive advantage by enhancing and developing the hard and soft aspects supportive of good corporate governance. The course highlights the provision of an opportunity to develop a plan or strategy in reinforcing organizational practice of good corporate governance and risk management.

The course also enables you to assess your firm’s exposure to risk and understand the risk management process of identification, measurement, monitoring and oversight of risk.

Objectives

After the course, you will:

  1. Discuss the requirements and the responsibilities of the organization to  initiate    and sustain the practice of good corporate governance;
  2. Realize the urgency for institutionalizing good corporate governance and a culture of ethical responsibility and practice;
  3. Assess the current organizational practice of corporate governance, risk management and control; and
  4. Develop a strategy/plan to improve organizational practice of good governance and risk management in response to current and emerging Philippine and international business challenges.
