Mr. Nicolas A. Lansang Jr. is the President and General Manager of Takeda Pharmaceuticals (Philippines) Inc. During his period in office, he significantly improved the company's profitability by rationalizing functional expenses and improving product portfolio management. He was able to establish an upward sales trend, despite having no new products in a highly competitive market environment. He developed IMPACT Marketing, a system that provided strategic guidelines for preparation of product plans. He also devised another system called Sales Force Effectiveness System (eTBM) that promotes seamless execution of sales promo programs from conception to result.
Prior to his current post, Mr. Lansang held key marketing and sales positions in companies such as Novartis Healthcare Philippines; Pascual Laboratories, Inc.; Les Laboratories Servier; Comark International Corp.; and United Laboratories, Inc. He is the Vice President of the Marketing Executives of the Philippines Pharmaceutical Industry (MEPPI), and a member of the Philippine Marketing Association (PMA) and Philippine Association of National Advertisers (PANA).
Mr. Lansang holds an AB Economics degree from the Ateneo de Manila University and an MBA degree from the University of the Philippines. He is a part-time MBA faculty at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business teaching Marketing Management and a part-time college faculty at MiriamCollege specializing on Advertising, Promotions and Sales Management. He participated in several training seminars locally and abroad such as the Business Leader Development Program in Hong Kong; Marketing Powerhouse in Seoul, Korea; and Marketing of OTC products in Asia in Singapore.
