Description

The workshop is intended to prepare project managers and professionals to sit for the Project Management Professional (PMP)®  certification examination. It provides a formalized approach that consists of presentations, articles, quizzes, and exams, group learning activities and self-study. It is designed to provide the attendees with a thorough and complete review of the theory of Project Management as detailed in the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) A Guide to the Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide). The five process groups, ten knowledge areas, and 49 processes will be reviewed and discussed. There will be exercises throughout the workshop and a mock exam on the 5th day. Assessments of learning throughout the workshop will be given along with personal study strategies. This workshop would fulfill one on the PMP® application eligibility requirements (35 contact hours of specific project management education.)

Objectives

1. Assist attendees in completing the PMP® eligibility application.
2. Prepare attendees to successfully sit in for the PMP® exam.
3. Facilitate the discussions on various topics in the project management field that will empower the attendees to pass the PMP® exam.
4. Expose attendees to simulated exams and quizzes that will challenge their project management knowledge, analysis, and ability to complete exams with time constraints.

Prof. Adam Samhouri PMP

is the Operations Director at Higher Learning Partners of Regis University. 

He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP)® with PMI. He attended Utah State University where he earned his MS in Instructional Technology. He has worked with several professional organizations as a Lead Instructional Designer and/or as a Project Manager. He worked for the USAF, Ameritech Library Services, and Arthur Andersen.
