Customer Service and Logistics Operation

Description

This module covers the last 2 of the 4 functional pillars in the practice of Supply Chain Management (SCM).

These last two SCM pillars are the functions of Customer Service and Logistics Operation. This is part of the requirement for the diploma program of the Executive Development Program on Supply Chain Management of the Ateneo CCE. 

Attendees for this module must be Supply Chain executives with at least 3 years of senior management experience preferably in the field of Customer Service and/or Distribution management.

The course delivery strategy is experiential, highly interactive, business-oriented and with an immediate takeaway value. These will be achieved through classroom-style lectures, participant experience sharing (group work activities), and video presentations.

At the end of the 3-day session, the participants will learn the importance of the following in achieving their company’s business objectives:

  4. Current Transport issues and applicable strategies
  5. New Transport and distribution systems and technologies

A. Customer service strategies, process, results
B. Managing risk and customer service measures of service

Day 2:
A. Transportation management and operation
B. Logistics vision, strategy, and performance measurement

Day 3:
A. Logistics trends, distribution center operation, loss and security controls
B. 7S in warehouse operation, best warehousing practices, modern warehouse, and the agile supply chain
 

Mr. Antonio Kent Valderrama has been in the Supply Chain Management profession since 1984. He is the Program Director for Supply Chain Management of the Ateneo Graduate School - Center for Continuing Education Program and a resource person for the Supply Chain Management seminars of the Philippine Institute for Supply Management (PISM), De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde SPaCE, and San Beda College - Alabang.

He is currently a board member of BizSolv Asia. He was also the Management Consultant for Macrolite Corporation, formerly Logistics Director of Jollibee Foods Inc., Vice President for Warehouse and Distribution of Geo Logistics, Inc., Director for Operations and Logistics of Shaklee Philippines, and Logistics Manager of San Miguel Metal Packaging Business.

He earned his Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) title in 1993 and was recognized as a Diplomate in Supply Management by SOFSM/PISM in 2002.  He is also the Philippine country representative of the Supply Chain Asia organization based in Singapore. 

Mr. Valderrama holds a B.S. Industrial Management Engineering minor in Mechanical Engineering degree from De La Salle University.
