About DRI Philippines 

DRI Philippines is the Philippines’ country organization affiliated with Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRI International) — a global, nonprofit leader in disaster recovery, business continuity, cyber resilience and related professional education and certification. 

DRI International — the parent organization — is the oldest nonprofit in the business continuity and disaster recovery field, providing globally recognized certifications (like CBCP) and thought leadership to help organizations prepare for, respond to, and recover from disruptions. 

DRI Philippines was organized and registered in the Philippines in 2017. The organization is represented by its Executive Director, Ramil “Mel” Cabodil.  He is a recognized leader in Business Continuity and Resiliency and was the first CBCP in the Philippines in 2004.  He also co-founded the Business Continuity Managers Association of the Philippines (BCMAP) in 2005 and is currently its Chairman (emeritus).

It was organized with a group of industry leaders as its Trustees. They are as follows:

DRI Philippines focuses on empowering organizations, practitioners and professionals across the Philippines with business continuity, disaster recovery, operational resilience and related knowledge, tools and certifications aligned with international standards. 

In short, DRI Philippines brings DRI International’s expertise, standards, and professional development programs to the Philippines to support local resilience and continuity practices. 

PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Mr. Ramil “Mel” Cabodil is the Founder and Managing Partner of BlueSource Solutions Inc., providing Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) and Business Continuity Consulting to enterprises in the Philippines. He previously served as Country Leader of IBM Technology Lifecycle Services of IBM Philippines and was part of the IBM Philippines Leadership Team, chairing its Occupational Safety and Health Committee and serving on the Crisis Management Team.

He is the Founder and Chairman of the Business Continuity Managers Association of the Philippines (BCMAP), affiliated with DRII and BCI, and the Executive Director of DRI Philippines, a local affiliate of DRI International for business continuity training and certification.

Mr. Cabodil lectures at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business – Center for Continuing Education on Business Continuity, Crisis Management, and Risk Management, and is a regular speaker for UP ISSI’s HANDA Program. He also serves as an Advisory Board Member of DLSU iPACE.

He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology, completed the IBM Executive Program at INSEAD, and earned his MBA from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business.
