RAMIL “MEL” CABODIL
Mr. Mel Cabodil is the Country Practice Leader of Technology Lifecycle Services in IBM Philippines. He leads projects and engagements that provides infrastructure technology support services to various IBM Clients in the country. As part of the IBM Philippines Leadership Team, he is also appointed as the Chairman of the Occupational, Safety and Health Committee and a member of its Crisis Management Team.

He was the Consulting Practice Leader of IBM-Global Technology Services for the ASEAN region. He was responsible for the development of Infrastructure Consulting Business, leading a group of Consultants and Partners for Infrastructure Services, Resiliency, Hybrid Cloud and Network Services. He has over 30 years of experience working with multi-national technology companies like IBM, Microsoft and Symantec in the Philippines and in the region.

His passion for Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery and the need for the Philippines to have a more resilient business infrastructure for the country prompted him to organize a non-government organization of Business Continuity Management Practitioners. He is the founder and the current President of the Business Continuity Managers Association of the Philippines (BCMAP). This is a membership organization of BC/DR Practitioners in the country affiliated with the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) of USA and The Business Continuity Institute (BCI) of UK.

In 2017 he established DRI Philippines, a local affiliate of DRI International in the Philippines, where he is currently the Executive Director. DRI International provides training and certification for Business Continuity Professionals globally.

Mr. Cabodil earned his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology and Master in Business Administration from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business. He also took IBM Executive Program in INSEAD Asia Campus, Singapore.
 

SEBASTIAN “BASTE” PUACHE 
Mr. Sebastian “Baste” Puache is one of the very few Certified Business Continuity Professionals (Disaster Recover Institute International) and 1 of only 3 Certified Instructors for Business Continuity by the same body.

He currently serves as a board member and an instructor of the Business Continuity Managers Association of the Philippines and the Philippine Society for Industrial Security International as a member of the board of trustees, National Vice President, course content developer, an instructor and panelist for the society’s certification programs.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, currently finishing his Doctorate in Public Administration with the University of the Philippines Diliman NCPAG and has been conferred master’s certifications in Security Management and Cyber Security. He is certified by numerous national and international bodies in various disciplines. He is also one of the few Certified Protection Professionals certified by the American Society for Industrial Security; Certified Security Professional (PSIS), a Trainer for Occupational Safety and Health, an Emergency Medical Technician, a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt; and finished courses in Data Protection (TÜV Rheinland), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (SGS Academy), Camp Management (IOM), and many others related to Safety, Security, Health, Business Continuity and others.
 

EUGENE DAGA
Mr. Eugene Daga is currently the Director & President of the Business Continuity Managers Association of the Philippines (BCMAP), Founding Member and Director of the Disaster Recovery International Institute – Philippines, a certified DRII instructor and a Risk Management consultant with expertise in the fields of Enterprise Risk including Business Continuity Management & Operational Risk. His experience covered various industries from banking, finance, insurance to shared services / BPOs including involvement with Global teams for Business Continuity & Risk oversight requirements as well as other roles within the organization. 

Mr. Daga’s core accomplishment in Business Continuity has included development of Business Continuity Management Systems, governance and framework for global enterprises, creation and automation of assessments and business impact analysis, Emergency and Crisis Notification systems and third party risk management among others.   He has also held various positions in Quality Assurance, Compliance, Operational Risk, Enterprise Risk including Cybersecurity, Information Security, Financial Risk and ESG.  He has since then deployed a holistic approach enabling for a sustainable management of risk.

TOPETS CAPINPIN
Mr. Topets Capinpin is currently the Director and the Secretary of the Business Continuity Managers’ Association of the Philippines (BCMAP). He is also the Services Director and Consultant of Octal Philippines Inc., a local IT Technology and Consulting Company.

He is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He has been in the IT industry for the past 30 years. He worked in IBM Philippines and served in various services leadership and delivery roles. He has handled projects involving data center construction and relocation, network and cabling systems deployment and integration, hardware and software systems maintenance, systems and storeage management implementation and high availability solution implementation including business recovery services and quality programs.

He is also an Accredited Business Continuity Professional, a certified Instructor for IT Disaster Recovery from Disaster Recovery Institute International.
