Summary of Work Activities and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Sales and Marketing Head, the Program Sales Officer I executes various strategies in order to meet the assigned sales targets for the Public Offering courses of the GSB CCE through effective lead generation, client management, and program management support.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

I. Sales and Lead Generation  

  • Ensures the achievement of assigned sales targets through:
    • Recommending and implementing sales and marketing strategies to generate new accounts/clients and promote both stand-alone courses and multi-course programs 
    • Sourcing for potential clients through research, networking, social media, and other channels/platforms
    • Benchmarking with international and industry partners on sales campaign plans for programs and courses  
    • Follows through with the clients for updates or inquiries about the programs and courses  
  • Monitors and evaluates the demand level of training and developmental needs of clients, and matches the findings with GSB CCE’s course offerings  
  • Keeps abreast of changing market conditions and trends, and provides feedback and  recommendations to internal stakeholders on how it may affect the existing programs and courses  
  • Represents GSB CCE in meetings with learning partners, various trade shows, etc. in order to expand the client database

II. Client Management and Program Management Support  

  • Develops and maintains client relationships through effective representation and  partnership
    • Proactively reaches out to both new and existing clients to promote programs and courses through email, phone calls, etc.  
    • Conducts pulse checks with clients regarding their feedback on the programs and courses after implementation  
  • Collaborates with the internal team in CCE to ensure client satisfaction and address any  issues or concerns  
    • Coordinates with the Program Development Group to relay information on client  profile, training needs, and gaps  
    • Monitors and ensures that programs and courses are implemented according to the schedule in close coordination with the Program Development Group and the Training Services Group
    • Coordinates and provides relevant information to the Training Services Group (e.g. class profiles, venue, materials, meals, handout preparations, etc.) needed in the implementation of the programs and courses  
    • Assists the Program Development Group in determining the viability of the programs and courses offered by relaying client feedback and providing updates on program runs 
  • Maintains and populates the client database to ensure that the target market segment/s  is/are reached by sales campaigns
  • Responds to inquiries through various channels, such as but not limited to walk-ins, phone calls, email inquiries, etc.

III. Administrative Support  

  • Prepares promotional letters, and proposals intended for clients and routes for approval
  • Prepares weekly sales and productivity reports, and submits them to the Sales and Marketing Head for review  
  • Processes sales invoices and/or statement of accounts based on prevailing program fees with the clients  
    • Monitor payments of clients and prepares payment summary reports

IV. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor, or any  authorized representative.

  • Sales and Marketing: Ability to market the programs and courses to the target market and clients; Ability to recommend appropriate marketing plans and approaches that match course requirements; Ability to monitor the assigned sales targets, process and close sales transactions with clients

  • Technological Savvy: Ability to utilize information technology and computer and internet systems to accomplish tasks

  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate tactfully and sensitively with all types of personalities and predispositions
  • Organization and Prioritization of Work: Ability to effectively plan and coordinate the delivery of required outcomes, according to importance and urgency; keen to details 
  • Problem Solving and Critical Thinking: Ability to gather and analyze large amounts of data, anticipate and identify issues, obstacles, and opportunities and develop and implement appropriate and effective solutions
  • People Skills: Ability to interact with people with empathy, reason, and professionalism

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree graduate  
  • At least one (1) year of working experience in sales and marketing, or in a related field

Stakeholder Relationship  

Internal Stakeholders  

  • Units/offices within GSB CCE – coordination on the programs and courses regarding  schedule, implementation, etc.  

External Stakeholders  

  • Clients – coordination on the training needs, marketing initiatives, pricing, and other  matters pertaining to the programs and courses
  • Resource persons – coordination on clients’ specific needs/concerns, if any in relation to  the programs and courses offered
