Description

As we greeted the new decade, we were introduced to different crises and disasters in both the local and global scale. When the Taal volcano eruption happened, how did it affect your organization? When the first case of the 2019-ncov was confirmed in the country, what did your organization do?

It is important that you are able to respond to these crises effectively and avoid its escalation and interruption of your business enterprises. There are global methods like Incident Command Management Systems (ICMS) that allows appropriate response to any crises or incidents leading to a crises. About DRI Ph

Disaster Recovery Institute (DRI) Philippines is a non-profit organization established in the Philippines in 2017. Its primary purpose is to conduct training courses and enable business continuity practitioners in the Philippines with the DRI International certification standards. Mr. Ramil “Mel” Cabodil is the Founder and Managing Partner of BlueSource Solutions Inc., providing Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) and Business Continuity Consulting to enterprises in the Philippines. He previously served as Country Leader of IBM Technology Lifecycle Services of IBM Philippines and was part of the IBM Philippines Leadership Team, chairing its Occupational Safety and Health Committee and serving on the Crisis Management Team.

He is the Founder and Chairman of the Business Continuity Managers Association of the Philippines (BCMAP), affiliated with DRII and BCI, and the Executive Director of DRI Philippines, a local affiliate of DRI International for business continuity training and certification.

Mr. Cabodil lectures at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business – Center for Continuing Education on Business Continuity, Crisis Management, and Risk Management, and is a regular speaker for UP ISSI’s HANDA Program. He also serves as an Advisory Board Member of DLSU iPACE.

He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology, completed the IBM Executive Program at INSEAD, and earned his MBA from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business.
